Perhaps the Oakland A's have  found that player in catcher stephen vogt. while he gave detroit starter Justin Verlander an 11 pitch battle before finally striking out and ending another As threat in the seventh inning, Vogt proved to be perhaps the clutch hitter they have been missing of late when he singled to left with no outs in the ninth inning with the bases loaded to give Oakland a 1-0 walk off win.Vogt, formerly a detroit tiger himself , came to Oakland midseason to help shore up a catching deficiency, has hit over .300 in the clutch.
